The Greek Olympics included both athleticism and religion. Today, since so many different peoples from different regions and religions participate in the Olympics, religion is not as large a part as it used to be. Now, the Olympics are a friendly competition between every country to see who will take home the gold. They also used to kill the loser of the game while rewarding the winner with a wonderful prize. Today, there is a healthy rivalry between every country and no penalties for the losers. The Olympics have evolved into games that bring all of the countries together and promote unity.
